Dr. C.A.M. van den Ende,
Corporate Innovation Manager of KEMA and one of the initiators of the Gelders Transitie Centrum, GTC, received his PhD at the State University of Leiden, The Netherlands. He studied Chemistry and Radiation Chemistry at the Technical University of Delft and Polymer Science at the Technical University of Twente. He worked as professor at the Instituto Industrial of Maputo, Mocambique. He was project leader and has participated in a large number of European projects and networks ( NDT, CCS, Fuel cells, Wind Energy, Solar Energy, Energy Storage, Recycling, etc) and Dutch national projects (SenterNovem: integration of heat pumps in the grid; Productschap Tuinbouw: applications of microwave and light selective foils in greenhouses). He has been involved in knowledge transfer and capacity building programs for developing countries (Mozambique, Brazil, Ethiopia, etc) and in setting up roadmaps for grids and solar energy in the Netherlands and the EU. He is member of the European standard committee on district heating (CEN-TC 107).
